Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vocabay ("the Service"), provided by Galdero Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17103268, with registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. By creating an account or using the Service, you ("you", "user") agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Vocabay is a vocabulary-learning tool. See the pricing page for current features and limits.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA/UK without parental consent). You're responsible for activity under your account. Authentication uses Google OAuth; Google's terms apply to that login.

3. Acceptable use

Your use is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Subscriptions, fees & cancellation

The Service offers a free tier with daily usage limits and a paid "Plus" tier billed monthly in advance. See the pricing page for current details. Prices are shown exclusive of any local taxes (VAT, sales tax, GST), which are added at checkout where required by law.

You may cancel your Plus subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate the current period. See our Refunds policy for the 14-day right to cancel and other refund scenarios.

5. Intellectual property

Galdero Technologies Ltd owns Vocabay's software, design, and content. You retain ownership of content you input. AI-generated explanations are provided non-exclusively for your personal use.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AI explanations may contain inaccuracies; do not rely on them for legal, medical, or other professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Galdero Technologies Ltd's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

8. Termination

Breach may result in suspension or termination. You may delete your account from settings; deletion is irreversible.

9. Changes to these Terms

Material changes are announced 14 days before they take effect. Continued use means acceptance.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
